Day 1
Santa Marta to Quebrada del Sol
8:00 a.m.: Departure from your hotel in Rodadero, Taganga, or Santa Marta in a 4×4 vehicle or motorized vehicle. The journey will take about 1 hour and will bring you to the “Los Linderos” hamlet. You’ll arrive at “Quebrada del Sol,” where a local guide will welcome you and provide a brief historical overview of the time of illegal crops and demobilization in the region.
Hike to the Kogui village of “Mulkwakungui” with a traditional Kogui guide. You will be received by the “Mamo,” the highest indigenous authority, and the Koguis will take you on a fascinating journey through their culture and traditions that will last approximately 3 hours.
Enjoy a traditional countryside lunch in the Quebrada del Sol hamlet. Visit a farm where you can relax while learning about the Kogui settlement. Later, you’ll visit lush pools for relaxation.
Return to the hamlet for rest and dinner.
Day 2
Exploring Quebrada del Sol
We’ll have breakfast in the Quebrada del Sol hamlet. Next, we’ll embark on a hike to the Buritaca River, where you can enjoy its crystal-clear waters and beautiful landscapes. You’ll have time to enjoy the hot springs known as “El OĆdo del Nevado.” Afterward, we’ll return to the Quebrada del Sol hamlet.
Enjoy a delicious typical regional lunch. Then, prepare for the journey back and start the return trip to your hotel, concluding our 2-Day Ancestral Thought experience.
