Exploring the Cocoa Route – From the Farm to Chocolate
8:30 a.m. – Departure from your hotel in Rodadero, Taganga, and Santa Marta.
10:00 a.m. – We will arrive at La Fortuna Farm, located 15 minutes from the main road in the San Rafael region, near Tayrona Park. At this farm, we will have an agricultural experience.
We will learn about the history and the process of the cocoa plant and enjoy a natural and sensory experience with chocolate.
We will also have the opportunity to learn about different cocoa varieties.
12:30 p.m. – We will begin the journey to the beaches of Mendihuaca, where we will enjoy a delicious typical regional lunch.
Afterward, you will have free time to relax on the beach, swim in the sea, or simply unwind under the sun.
3:00 p.m. – Return in harmony to your hotel.

It is a 100% organic and artisanal table chocolate, enriched with natural flavors that recreate the unique Sierra flavors on the palate. Here, you can enjoy the cocoa plantations and the subsequent transformation of the raw material, led by women from the region and always accompanied by knowledgeable staff who will immerse you in the wonderful world of “cacao.”
You can also find products like cocoa mix, granola, nougat, brownies, and chocolate bread made in the region by local farming families.
NOTE: This cocoa is highly beneficial for health, as it is a unique cocoa in the world due to its low cadmium content, a metal considered toxic and contaminating.
